Quality of Life
The N2 Innovation District is full of places to grab coffee, lunch or gather after work. Whether it's the meeting near the fireplace
at the local Starbucks, sipping soup from the New England Soup Factory, grabbing
a beer from Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, picking up a sandwich from Goldberg's Deli or savoring a crafted cocktail at Grande Kitchen and Bar,
there is something for every taste and time.
The N2 Innovation District offers access to outdoor amenities seldom available in a commercial area. With the Charles River and Cutler Park located right here, people can kayak, canoe, hike, run, walk or bike, even during a lunch break. Charles River Canoe and Kayak,
the JCC and a number of other workout options are all conveniently located.
Co-working is a key element of any innovation program and it remains just as important here. Newton has already partnered with MassChallenge to launch the Newton Innovation Center in Newton Corner and the Innovation District boasts several shared office spaces. The N2 Innovation District is working with several potential partners to bring additional options to the local neighborhoods.
Food TrucksDriving innovation means bringing people together, and nothing does that as well as food trucks. Food trucks can already be found on Thursdays and Fridays on 4th Ave. in the Needham Crossing section of the N2 Innovation District. Current trucks include the Cod Squad and the Dining Car. The lawn nearby turns into a lunchtime festival with good food, good conversations and even a few dogs!
Both Newton and Needham are hard at work to expand the food truck program for 2018, bringing additional dining options to the area.
