Food Trucks

food trucks

Several food trucks are now serving lunch in the Needham Crossing section of the N-Squared Innovation District starting, with additional vendors expected to operate in Wells Ave. in Newton by the summer.

Needham’s 2018 food truck program adds significantly to the food amenities of the N2 Innovation District. The program will see seven trucks a week spread across four days, from Tuesday to Friday, on two sites in the Needham Crossing section of the district. This represents a significant increase from the single truck that operated last year.

Trucks can be found from Tuesday to Friday starting at 11am on A Street and on Tuesdays and Fridays on 4th Avenue also at 11am. Needham launched its food truck program in 2017 with a single truck operating regularly on 4th Ave.

The Newton City Council recently approved food trucks for the Wells Ave. section of the N2 Innovation District. The city is now accepting applications for trucks interested in operating at Wells this summer.

The food trucks season will run through November.

Dining

Dining

The N2 Innovation District is full of places to grab coffee, lunch or gather after work. Whether it's the meeting near the fireplace at the local Starbucks, sipping soup from the New England Soup Factory, grabbing a beer from Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza, picking up a sandwich from Goldberg's Deli or savoring a crafted cocktail at District 118, there is something for every taste and time.

Recreation

Recreation

The N2 Innovation District offers access to outdoor amenities seldom available in a commercial area. With the Charles River and Cutler Park located right here, people can kayak, canoe, hike, run, walk or bike, even during a lunch break. Charles River Canoe and Kayak, the JCC and a number of other workout options are all conveniently located.

Co-working

CoworkingCo-working is a key element of any innovation program and it remains just as important here. Newton has already partnered with MassChallenge to launch the Newton Innovation Center in Newton Corner and the Innovation District boasts several shared office spaces. The N2 Innovation District is working with several potential partners to bring additional options to the local neighborhoods.
